Remember Lionel Richie? He spawned over a dozen classic hits such as “All Night Long”, “You Are” and “Hello”. The guy that ruled the 80’s is back to bring all those hits to us again, but with more of a backwoods arrangement and sung with a different country/rock singer as a duet. He’s called upon the likes of Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw to name a few.
One performer he asked was reluctant to do it since she hasn’t put an album out since 2002 (which has angered fans and the music industry). The great Shania Twain. Although she turned down working with him several times before he talked her into it. He first had to realize what her issue was with taking the gig. Her voice. She hasn’t recorded or performed as a singer consistently in nearly 10 years and was feeling insecure and vulnerable to say the least.

Lionel Richie’s album “Tuskegee” will be released on March 26, 2012
Shania Twain has been slowly and quietly making her comeback with little projects here and there. One of them is a reality show that was the highest debuted program on the Oprah Network last Summer called Why Not? with Shania Twain. She recorded an inspirational and motivational tune last year called, “Today Is Your Day“. It is available on iTunes for $1.29. It won’t be long before she’s back in the studio making a powerhouse album. She just has to get her feet wet again in music. It’ll be just like riding a bike!
